We would like to welcome Kellie Rogers as our new Choir Director. She and her husband Allen joined with us on May 7th, 2007 after recently moving to our area. When Kellie heard about our need for a Choir Director, she stepped up and offered her services.
Her gift of music comes from her childhood growing up in a home where she was raised with music diversity. Her dad taught her bluegrass and country gospel. During lessons she learned classical piano. Choir has long been a part of her existence whether in school or church.
Kellie is part of a traveling praise team that has been together for five years. She also continues to sing with a ladies trio when they can get together. She has led choirs at Jackson Woods Presbyterian and St. Andrews Episcopal churches while attending RiverHillsBaptistChurch. She has also led children’s and youth choirs. She plays the keyboard and is learning the mandolin and has taught piano in the past.
If you were to ask Kellie today what is the best thing going on in her busy world I'm sure she would tell you about her grandchilren - Luke and Jane.
Cindy has served as Church Secretary since June 2004. She and her husband have been part of the church since 1989. They have raised four children of whom they are very proud. Their oldest son served in the Marine Corps. Their oldest daughter is preparing for the mission field in Ghana, West Africa. Their youngest son is currently an interim pastor in Kingsville, TX and the youngest daughter is completing her college degree.
