But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Brought to you by BibleGateway.com. Copyright (C) NIV. All Rights Reserved.

WELCOME TO OUR  CHURCH

I hope you will take a few minutes to look around and get to know us. We are a family of faith loved by a gracious God.  We are learning to love Him back and love other people like He has loved us.  In our family we enjoy getting together for worship, Bible study, eating, and serving - did I mention eating. We love old folks young folks and all in between. We have Bible study groups for all ages, variety in our music, and really long sermons by the pastor.

This year we celebrate 90 years of ministry. We are humbled at what the Lord has done for us and expectant about our tomorrows. We invite you to come experience the blessings with us.

I hope you will take a few minutes and browse through the various areas of our website and learn a little more about our fellowship.

If I, Mrs. Hatfield - our secretary, or David Valverde - our youth pastor, can minister to you in some way please give us a call. God Bless!

 Living For Him,

Bruce Irving, pastor

"Life Is Good"

...Unless you live in Haiti that is. How tragic that these poor souls must endure more hardship and death in a country that has known little else. It seems that we live in a cruel world.  We do!  Many of us are insulated from the harsh realities of life becausen we live in America, have good families, steady jobs and prospects of improving our life in some way. Most of the world lives in poverty. Disease from malnutrition, lack of clean water, or adequate medical help is the norm. Add to that the realities of corrupt governments, war, natural disasters, lack of available jobs and more and it makes for a pretty harsh life for most of people. It was into a world like this that the Son of God came to save us. Our world is full of cruelty and hardship because it is ruinned by our sin. Whatever prospects we have for making a better world in which to live by our own efforts or inventions they pale in comparison to what God will give us. Untill His reality becomes fully ours we must love our neighbor and preach the gospel of hope through Jesus Christ. Thats what we are doing at FBC GW. Come join us as we journey towards home.

Bruce
